Bagpipes for Every Occasion

My name is Suzanne “Aden” Kemp, and I have been involved in the world of Scottish bagpiping since 1999. Over the years, piping has taken me across the United States, Canada, Ireland, England, and France through competition, performance, teaching, and ceremonial events.

I have performed with multiple respected pipe bands throughout my career, including High Desert Pipes and Drums, Phoenix Pipe Band, Royal British Legion Triumph Pipe Band, Hugh O’ Connor Memorial Pipe Band, and international performances with the Irish contingent at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient. I have performed as a guest for the Scots Guards in both England and the U.S. as well as for public figures, authors, athletes, and political leaders including King Charles III, Senator Heather Wilson, Norman Reedus, Sean Patrick Flanery, David Della Rocco, Claire Danes, Richard Gere, Connor McGregor, George R.R. Martin, and Diana Gabaldon. Most importantly, I have performed for the public and for people who simply love the sound of bagpipes.

From 2007 to 2015, I served as Pipe Major of Mac-Tire of Skye Pipes and Drums, helping guide instruction, musical development, and performances within the band. Growing the band from 7 original members to over 30 performing musicians and developing New Mexico’s premier band for performances during my time in service. Currently, I perform with High Desert Pipes and Drums in New Mexico and several bands in Arizona.

Throughout my piping career, I have remained passionate about preserving and sharing traditional Scottish music while also bringing professionalism and authenticity to every performance.

Whether performing for a solemn remembrance ceremony or a fun celebratory event, I approach every performance with professionalism, respect, and attention to detail. It is often that I am called to be part of some of the most important events in people’s lives. The sound of the Great Highland Bagpipe carries deep tradition and emotion, and I strive to make every event memorable and meaningful.

Based in Albuquerque, I am available for performances throughout the state of New Mexico.
